What Zyx is

One search-and-act layer over a small company's apps. Every answer names its sources, every person keeps their own rights, and every risky change waits for a human. It runs on the company's own server.

Large companies buy one layer that searches and acts across all their apps, with sources and each person’s own rights. Zyx is that layer for a company of 1 to 10 people. It is built first for German small businesses.

You talk to Zyx in its own workspace (a chat in the browser or on the phone), or from the AI tool you already use, over MCP. Either way the same rules apply.

One search, with sources

Files, mail, Notion and synced apps in one local search, by keyword and meaning. Every answer lists the sources it used. See Search.

Each person's own rights

Every item carries its readers. An answer uses an item only when everyone who can read the answer may read that item. See Readers and rights.

Acts, but asks first

Every tool call passes one safety kernel. Sending mail always asks. Other changes are judged one call at a time, and risky ones wait for an approval. See The kernel.

Your data, your server

The database, the search index and the traces run on the company’s own server. Once a backup folder is set, each nightly backup is checked by restoring it. See Security and privacy.

Zyx is not a self-serve cloud service. An operator installs it on one server for one company, connects the company’s apps, and looks after updates and backups. One install serves one company.

Text that Zyx sends to a hosted AI model leaves the server for that model’s provider. The operator can route work to an EU-hosted model or to a local model when that matters. See Models and cost.
