Packs

A pack is packaging, not a new kind of thing. It is one file that names skills, one agent and the apps they use. Installing it puts those into your company folder as your own copies.

What ships

Zyx ships 39 packs, for departments (sales, marketing, project management, bookkeeping preparation, media and others) and for branches (consulting and agency, trades, medical practice, cleaning company and others). One pack, finance, is marked “coming soon”: it waits for the bank connection and brings only what works without it.

One pack is for everyone: Everyday (German: Alltag) brings each person’s private Inbox, with the file intake, the journal and the brain dump. Zyx sets it up with a new company.

Each pack has:

• Skills. Your own copies, which you can read and change.
• One agent. A file with a name and a persona, for example the Project Manager.
• Routines, in most packs. A skill that names a time in its head comes as a routine.

Install a pack

Only the owner installs a pack.

1. Open Skills, section Department packs.
2. Pick where the pack goes: the company, a department folder, or a new department.
3. Press Install pack. A pack with routines first lists them, all ticked. Untick what you do not want and press Install pack again.
4. Zyx lists what it made: the skills, the agent and the routines.

Nothing of yours is overwritten. What already exists is skipped. Routines of a shipped pack are set up with the pack, and run on their own only after someone approves their limits on the warning screen. A pack’s agent never sends mail, pays or pushes code by itself: those stay approval cards.

Undo (the button, or Cmd-Z) removes exactly what the install made. It checks every part first and removes nothing if you changed one.

A pack works without the apps it names. A skill that needs a missing app says so.

Your own packs

The owner can wrap a folder’s skills, routines and agents into a pack of the company’s own. Zyx never makes or loads a pack by itself.

Action	What happens
Save as pack	Pick a folder, name the pack, tick the agents. The pack is a folder inside the company folder
Export	Writes one file, <name>.zyxpack.json. The privacy gate checks it first and refuses when it finds personal data or a key
Load pack	Reads such a file. Zyx shows a review of what is inside, and you confirm
Delete	Removes the pack. Undo brings it back

A loaded pack is treated as a stranger’s: its skills carry the import mark, so every change they make is a card, and its routines arrive paused.

Limits

• There is no pack store. An own pack travels as a file.
• A pack does not connect apps. Connect them on the Connections screen (Connect apps).
